It's hard to believe that we are halfway through the first semester of the year. The year is really off to a great start. Our students have been working hard over the past few weeks to not only learn their grade level standards, but to also learn classroom and school expectations.
As most of you know, we are a PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) school. We have three basic school rules which we focus on in every area of our building: Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Responsible. You can help your child be successful at school by reinforcing these expectations at home. Please ask your child, "What does being kind, safe, and responsible look like or mean in the hallway, cafeteria, and bathroom?" Your child should be able to tell you the school rules, as well as describe the expectations for the different locations within the building (if not all three locations, at least one of them).
As always, thank you for your support and for partnering with us to help your child be successful in school.
